About Snowball Affiliate

Hey there, I’m Nathan Conner—founder, chief content strategist, and the relentless engine behind Snowball Affiliate. If you’ve found your way here, odds are you’re looking for more than just the latest affiliate marketing “hack” or some generic advice. You want to know who’s really behind the curtain—a real person, not just a logo or a list of tactics.

So here’s my story, unfiltered.

How I Fell Down the Affiliate Marketing Rabbit Hole

My very first blog I started in 2011. I was involved in the network marketing niche, where I marketed “Graded Gold And Silver Coins & Jewelry”, along with marketing digital products that taught people how to build a digital business.

My journey into affiliate marketing started all the way back in 2010, before TikTok was a thing and when “side hustle” was just an under-the-radar buzzword. At the time, I’d just graduated college—a mix of optimism, uncertainty, and the kind of curiosity that kept me up way past midnight. The internet felt like a frontier, and digital marketing seemed like the golden key to making things happen from anywhere.

Like a lot of beginners, I spent countless hours diving into blogs, forums, and the odd YouTube rabbit hole, learning everything I could about affiliate marketing. I launched my first campaigns, built my first clunky websites, and celebrated my first commissions in 2011. That feeling—seeing that first sale notification—was electric. It wasn’t about the money (okay, maybe a little); it was about realizing I could actually build something of my own, from scratch.

By 2013, I’d turned my affiliate side hustle into a steady, growing business. But life has its own way of rerouting you. My full-time career needed my focus, so I pressed pause on the affiliate game. It wasn’t easy to step away from something I’d poured so much energy into, but it was necessary at the time.

Life Happens, and So Does Growth

The years rolled by. I advanced in my career, got married, and eventually became a dad—a moment that changed everything. Somewhere in the whirlwind of earning my Master’s Degree and changing diapers, that old spark for affiliate marketing never really died. If anything, it got stronger. Parenthood has a funny way of reminding you what you want your days—and your legacy—to look like.

In 2019, with a new sense of purpose and a much busier schedule, I made the decision to jump back in. I won’t sugarcoat it: coming back after a long break felt like stepping into a whole new world. The tools had changed, the platforms had evolved, and everyone was talking about things like voice search and algorithm updates. It was a humbling experience—equal parts exciting and overwhelming.

But here’s the thing: the fundamentals hadn’t changed. Honest communication, real value, content that actually helps people—those are timeless. With that in mind, I rolled up my sleeves and started catching up, day by day, blog post by blog post.

From Catch-Up Mode to Building a Content Empire

That first year back was a grind. Late nights, early mornings, and a lot of trial and error. But it paid off. In late 2020, I built my first five-figure blog—proof that the foundational skills I’d honed years before still worked in a new era. The landscape might shift, but quality and consistency always win.

From there, everything snowballed. (Pun fully intended.)

Instead of settling for one success story, I doubled down—reinvesting my profits and growing a diverse portfolio of websites and content assets all across the internet. Each project is a new chance to solve problems, connect with people, and leave the web a little better than I found it.

Why Snowball Affiliate Exists

Snowball Affiliate isn’t just my brand—it’s the culmination of everything I’ve learned, unlearned, and relearned over more than a decade in this space. I know what it’s like to start from scratch, to struggle with doubt, and to wonder if it’s all worth it. My mission is simple: to help others cut through the noise, find clarity, and build affiliate businesses that don’t just pay the bills, but create real freedom.

I believe in building trust before traffic, and relationships before revenue. Every strategy I share, every guide I write, and every product I recommend has to pass the same test: would I stake my own reputation on this? If the answer isn’t a resounding “yes,” you won’t find it here.

A Little More About Me

When I’m not buried in analytics or brainstorming the next big thing for my sites, you’ll find me chasing my kids around the backyard, out for a hike, or catching up on the latest in tech and marketing. I’m a lifelong learner, a believer in second (and third) chances, and a champion of anyone willing to bet on themselves.

I know what it’s like to juggle family, work, and side projects. I’ve felt the thrill of a campaign going viral—and the sting of one that falls flat. Those ups and downs are the real teacher, and they’re why I never offer advice I haven’t battle-tested myself.
